What you will do

Continuously evolve our software by developing new features and refining/upgrading existing solutions (.NET Framework, WPF), leveraging the latest .NET technologies (including .NET 10, ASP.NET, Blazor) to ensure peak performance and forward compatibility
Collaborate with teams in electronics design, firmware development, optical engineering, and contributing to the R&D of new products
Implement modern development practices, including Docker, CI/CD, GitHub Actions and cloud services (Azure) to enhance project efficiency and product quality

What is expected

3+ years of experience in Software Engineering
Experience with .NET development environments
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences or a related field
Proficient in written English, with strong communication skills
Collaborate with electronic PCB designers and embedded firmware developers, providing insights to influence hardware and firmware design and functionality.
Work with R&D engineers to develop computational algorithms implemented in both software and firmware.
Operate in laser laboratories, testing new devices and ideas while assisting R&D engineers with experiment automation.

We are an innovative laser manufacturing company with more than 800 specialists striving for progress and excellence. We are looking for a Software Engineer (.NET) to join our research and development team. This position offers the chance to contribute to the development of cutting-edge gadgets from the ground up, working in collaboration with experts across multiple disciplines.

As a Software Engineer (.NET) at Light Conversion, your primary role centers on .NET development of applications, controlling our devices (75% multi-platform solutions using Blazor, 20% Windows desktop using WPF, 5% scientific libraries using Python). However, your collaboration extends beyond just software:

We are among the leaders in ultrashort pulse laser manufacturing. Our technologies are used worldwide - from medical devices to semiconductor production. Nobel Prize – winning research is conducted using our lasers, and they are in operation at CERN and in the laboratories of leading universities. Here, your ideas become real solutions that drive progress in science and technology.

The salary ranges from 4000 to 6500 EUR gross, depending on your experience and competencies. After the probation period, an additional variable compensation component is awarded, linked to your and your team’s performance, which can reach up to 10% of your quarterly salary.
