What you will do

Handle day-to-day Jira and Confluence requests.
Troubleshoot common user and configuration issues.
Support access and permission requests.
Help with Jira projects, boards, filters and other standard configurations.
Perform basic configuration changes with guidance.
Test implemented changes and help investigate reported issues.
Maintain simple technical documentation.
Escalate more complex issues when needed.
As your knowledge grows, you will gradually take on more independent and technical Atlassian tasks.

What is expected

Hands-on experience working with Jira beyond basic end-user usage – for example as a power user, key user, project administrator or similar.
General understanding of how Jira projects, issues, workflows, boards and permissions work.
Previous experience in IT support, application support, system support or another technical environment.

Interest in learning Jira and Confluence administration.

We are looking for a Junior Atlassian Systems Engineer to join our internal Atlassian team and support the day-to-day administration of Jira and Confluence. This role would be a great fit for someone who already has hands-on experience working with Jira - for example as a power user, project administrator, key user or in an IT/application support role, and would like to take the next step towards Atlassian administration and engineering.

This is an opportunity to move from using Jira to learning how Jira is built and managed behind the scenes. You will work closely with an experienced Atlassian Engineer, gain hands-on administration experience and gradually develop towards an independent Atlassian engineering role.
