IT Network Specialist (all genders)

💼 Your mission – or, in other words: your tasks

You plan and implement modern technologies in the network area.

Professional support of IT networks with a focus on firewalls is also one of your tasks.

You are also the contact person in 2nd & 3rd level support for questions in the network area.

Troubleshooting and the elimination of faults in the network environment is also in your hands.

Error analysis, root cause analysis and developing strategies for service improvement are also part of your day-to-day activities.

You document the service architecture of various network environments.

You create and maintain the (customer-specific) service and operating documentation (operating manual; linking in the CMDB).

🧠 What you bring to the table – besides the desire to make a difference

You already gained several years of professional experience in the professional support of IT networks, in particular with a focus on firewalls.

You have very good knowledge of firewalls with appropriate certification (Fortinet FCP or FCSS), desirable manufacturers Fortinet, Forcepoint, PaloAlto and Sophos.

Ideally, you also have basic knowledge of Meraki and HPE network products.

You have good knowledge of proxies, web application firewalls, IDS/IPS systems and firewall log analyzers.

For automation, you have knowledge of Ansible, Python and the use of APIs on network components

You have experience with network management tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, HP IMC and Network Nodemanager.

You are motivated to learn new things and familiarize yourself with new topics.

You are familiar with ITIL and ISO 20000.

You speak business fluent English - both written and spoken / German language skills are desirable.
