Lead Backend Engineer, Incident Management

Founded in 2008 in Lithuania, Vinted began as a way for friends to find new homes for clothes they no longer needed. In 2019, we became Lithuania's first unicorn! Today, our headquarters remain in Vilnius, and we've grown with offices across Europe, supported by a team of over 2,000 people.

In this role, you will be the lead technical architect for VITA, our in house platform for alerts, on call routing, incident management, and SLOs. Every single production alert at Vinted flows through VITA, and every incident is coordinated through it in Slack, from declaration to postmortem.

Because our team operates without a dedicated product manager, you will enjoy true product ownership. You will spend roughly half your time on technical discovery, researching solutions, and shaping our roadmap directly with engineering stakeholders and directors across Vinted.

• Vinted Go enhances the shipping experience with a vast network of over 500,000 pick-up and drop-off points, partnering with more than 60 carriers across Europe, with added services like item verification for peace of mind on high-value pieces.
• Vinted Pay is the newest part of the Vinted Group, dedicated to bringing secure, reliable payments to buyers and sellers across Europe. Seamlessly integrated into the Vinted app, it helps keep every transaction safe, efficient, and easy for our members.

• When an incident happens in production at Vinted, how quickly our engineering teams recover directly affects millions of members across Europe and the US.
• You will join a focused engineering team within our Service Ecosystem domain. The previous lead engineer recently stepped up to become the team Engineering Manager, which means we now need an experienced technical partner to take over the architectural vision.

Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory, paired with strong technical communication and diplomacy. You can explain architectural risks clearly to non technical stakeholders and have the confidence to challenge senior leaders constructively with data and SLOs.

The gross monthly salary range for this position is
