Senior Android Engineer

AI agents can scaffold features, write tests, and run flows in minutes, but real impact comes from engineers who know when to trust, challenge, and systemize that output. At Podimo, one of Europe's fastest-growing podcast and audiobook platforms, we're looking for a Senior Android engineer who treats AI as a force multiplier and ships native experiences that millions of listeners depend on.

This is the role

You'll join Membership, a cross-functional group spanning Android, iOS, Web, Backend and QA, owning the subscriber lifecycle: auth, paywalls, subscriptions, billing and payments. The Android codebase is modern and native-first (Kotlin + Jetpack Compose) — React Native was removed entirely in August 2026, so you'll be building features, with some of the last migration cleanup still up for grabs.

You'll get to experiment with AI tooling, work with multiple agents at once, help shape how Android features are built, and care about quality from spec to ship.

Qualities that matter the most

• You learn fast, apply immediately, and keep adapting as the tools and workflows change
• You communicate like an owner
• You drive things to completion
• You're genuinely curious about AI and how to wield it
• You take proactive ownership
• You think you walk further with a team than alone, and you bring a positive attitude
• You have taste for quality and judgment about where it matters — you can tell a defect that genuinely hurts the product from one that's merely 'not how I'd have done it,' and you spend your energy on the first
• You keep your Android and Computer Science fundamentals sharp instead of outsourcing your understanding to the model
