- Build and execute the SEO strategy from the ground up - no legacy roadmap to inherit or unwind
- Define and own SEO and AI-search strategy across priority categories, using performance data, competitor research, and audience insights to prioritize opportunities and close coverage gaps
- Grow rankings for commercial and affiliate-intent keywords
- Turn keyword and content opportunities into content that drives qualified traffic and revenue - working directly with content, affiliate, and social teams
- Flag categories, products, and topics where our affiliate managers can secure stronger partner deals, backed by real traffic
- Own the technical SEO/AEO roadmap - partnering with engineering on page speed, rendering, and site architecture to keep the site fast and accessible for both humans and bots
- Drive SEO-led optimizations of evergreen content, working with the content team to lift performance without compromising writing quality or brand standards
- Identify and scope high-value tools, calculators, templates, and other linkable assets that make our content more useful, shareable, and cite-worthy
- Analyze performance data, share insights, and act proactively toward growth goals - testing new SEO and AI-search plays, scaling what works, and killing what doesn't
- Set SEO priorities and budget asks based on expected business impact, make the case for them, and redirect investment away from work that isn't moving the numbers
- Build the processes, AI workflows, and team needed to hit our organic traffic goals.

- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience across all four SEO pillars - technical, on-page, off-site, and emerging GEO/AEO - with the ability to build the strategic approach for the near future
- Fluency with the standard stack - GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush or Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and similar - as well as AI tools, automations, and solutions
- You've grown an affiliate, comparison, commerce, or content site to meaningful traffic
- Sharp analytical thinking and a bias toward proactive decisions over waiting for direction
- Results-oriented - you optimize for revenue and traffic that converts, not vanity rankings
- Speed and curiosity - you'd rather test something this week than plan it for next quarter
- You're comfortable being the person accountable when the number isn't moving
- A proven track record of building affiliate, media, comparison, or commerce-driven websites is a huge bonus - a real case study showing how you drove organic traffic growth on a project, in any field, even more so.

We're currently looking for a hands-on Head of SEO & Growth to join us at an early stage and turn Demilked into the spot creators go to for clarity on content creation and the tools that help them make a living in today's creator economy. As we like to say, we demilk the noise out of the current AI/SaaS tool space. And we need your help getting in front of them through organic traffic!
In this pivotal role, you will have true ownership to build our organic strategy from the ground up, directly linking SEO growth to core business outcomes like revenue, referred sales, and commercial content performance. We are looking for a growth-minded leader who can seamlessly balance high-level strategy with execution to drive long-term organic visibility.
